It’s all over!

12 years of grade school plus 4 years of undergraduate education came to an end yesterday…and it feels great! I remember thinking as a kindergardener, “How on earth could anyone go through 12 years of school?” That was 2x my entire lifespan. But now it’s done, and I get to devote myself entirely to what I want to do for its own sake, not for some degree.

Granted, college was awesome, and I learned a whole lot of great stuff, but now the sky is the limit in my life. I have so much time and so much potential… two things needed to get a lot of dank stuff done. It seems that a lot of people leave college thinking so much about the past and are afraid of the unknown of the future, but I am looking at things differently. I am choosing to see the future as a fun-filled time of my life to discover all sorts of new things, meet some awesome new people, and accomplish things I did not know I was capable of doing. Sound cheesy? Sure…but you can’t doubt that it’s a really healthy perspective.

I will definitely miss Oberlin and some of my best friends from there. Above is my friend Steph and I after my graduation ceremony… her and others will be missed a lot. I really appreciate the impact they have all had on my life. Hopefully I’ve impacted theirs as well. I look forward to coming back to visit to see how things are going with them all.

With that though, I get to watch the pens go to the freaking stanley cup finals tonight with the PH peeps! LET’S GO PENS!
